R&B singer TreVante Halliburton began his journey into the music industry with the independent release of two singles, "That Girl" and "Baby Girl" for Selsum Records under the name "Tre" . TreVante and his family was able to build his fan base and sell over 80,000 units. "Baby Girl" reached the #50 spot on Billboard's R&B chart and opened the door for performance and touring opportunities with artists such as Bow Wow, B5, and Nick Cannon. His first mainstream success came from the single "Be My Girl" which peaked at #3 on BET: 106 & Park and landed him on BET's "Closer to My Dreams" Tour along with Diggy Simmons, Mindless Behavior and Tyga. Recently, TreVante was signed to Imani Records "He is the total package," says Manny Halley, President of Imani Entertainment, "not only does he sing, he is a phenomenal dancer and multi-dimensional writer.
