Willard Carroll Smith Jr. (born September 25, 1968) is an American actor, producer, rapper, comedian, and songwriter. He has enjoyed much chart success both as a solo artist and prior to that as part of the hip-hop due DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. He has been particularly well received in the UK where he has scored eight top-5 pop chart hits. Smith has been nominated for five Golden Globe Awards and two Academy Awards, and has won four Grammy Awards.
